Thanks for visiting desinotes! I am Vinay Kumar, a banker based in Dubai, UAE – A place that is going berserk with rapid development. I enjoy blogging and it will now happen through desinotes. With blogging becoming the new fad for self expression I decided, like the millions to jump into the fray.

Desinotes.com is not my first blog - I previously blogged casually under a blogger platform. Desinotes.com is my new acquisition from a US based blogger . So you will see that the older posts are not mine. I was a regular visitor to this blog and it caught my interest; so when I got a chance to own it I did it.

I too am a desi like the previous owner of this blog and therefore the URL desinotes.com is appropriate enough. When I took over desinotes, the header of the blog read as "Blogging with Desi Baba – Blogging, Technology, Making Money, Entertainment". It has now become ‘Blogging with Vinay’. This blog has continued much like it did before with lesser focus on ‘Making Money’ and more on Technology, Internet, Blogging and my Random Thoughts. At this point I am not qualified enough to write expertly on the topic of ‘money’. I don't think that it is forte. I believe that a blog must be a log of one’s personal thoughts that is shared on the community called the world wide web. With passing time that is the direction that this blog will take.

I am an Indian, have lived and studied in India; in the state of Karnataka – A state down south of India. My dialect happens to be Kannada; a language spoken by 40 million. Although Kannada happens to be my mother tongue, it was my second language in school. Like most educated Indians I studied in the English medium and came overseas in search of greener pastures.

Apart from blogging, technology and internet I enjoy a little bit of reading, keeping myself abreast of current affairs, music and Vedic astrology.
