It was said to be the wedding of the century - A grand union and a high-profile wedding. It happened on the 20th of April 2007 and a year of a successful marriage is what can be seen.

Flashback to April 20, 2007
It was in the Bachchan family home Pratiksha in Mumbai. Hundreds of journalists and fans hung around the area to get a glimpse of the couple. Abhi came on horse back and Ash wore a Neeta Lulla creation as the wedding dress. Bachchans invited only a few Bollywood friends. Well known personalities like Shah Rukh, Rani, Hrithik were left out…

Honeymoon
They took off on a month long honeymoon to Europe. They skipped the premiere of the film Guru and did not promote Jodhaa Akbar. They didn’t want to mix business with pleasure.

Ash-Abhi similarities
Both are successful actors, both are traditional and place value on family and relationships. Both are young, good looking and have great careers ahead. Both are head over heels in love with each other!

Career graph
Film releases of Abhishek have flopped after marriage but he is now betting on Sarkar Raaj which also stars Ash. He is also counting on Drona and Dostana. Ash had great success with Jodhaa Akbar. The whole family will supposedly be doing a Kajra Re tour this summer…

About her one year marriage with Abhi, Ash says: “To the spend the rest of our lives together is the most romantic thing. Abhishek is all rolled into one…” Abhishek says: “This one year of marriage with Ash has been beautiful”.
