I finally understand the importance of having good user experience on blogs. Before I used to have Kontera and AdSense and different other advertisements on my blog, but now I took them off. I know I will add AdSense later but I’ll place them in areas where it won’t distract readers from my main content.
How did I understand?
I took the initiative to act as a regular reader and I tried to understand what would get me interested when I come to this blog. A lot of internet surfers see a blog, if they like it then they decide to make one for themselves.
When I had AdSense and Kontera, I read my blog like a regular reader and I was annoyed by the ads on the page. I thought to myself if I get annoyed then it’s most likely my readers are annoyed as well. Therefore, I stopped embedding AdSense blocks on my posts along with disabling Kontera ad links.
Disapproved with Kontera
Kontera seems like a great form of advertising but it’s like sneaking in ads where the reader doesn’t expect it, and I don’t like that. If you’re going to have ads then put on ads and not trick the readers to seeing them or clicking on them.
AdSense Consideration
I’m a big fan of AdSense, and when I started out blogging I made the mistake of monetizing my blog with the biggest AdSense block being on the posts. My readers did complain about the big AdSense blocks being distracting but I didn’t listen until now. I’m a stubborn person so I didn’t listen to my readers, but now I understand and I took them off.
I will add AdSense in the future though, since it’s very helpful in maintaining easy money to pay for my server charges.
Profiting with Good User Experience
One of the best ways to make profit with good user experience is having text links ads. This type of advertisement does not interfere with the main content plus it’s very profitable.

Another great way to earn money is to do posts for PayPerPost. All you do is write blog posts, with no ads on them, for a desired topic and once it’s approved you rake in cash; it’s that simple.
Having good user experience from your blog is the same thing as having good customer service in retail stores. The more comfortable the reader is on your blog the better the chances that he or she will return. That’s why big retail companies take the extra step to train their salesman to provide good customer service. So, if you think your loosing readers then ask your self what can you provide that will make them come back and act on that to improve your blog.
Also, make sure you have good navigation on your blog. If your visitors can easily navigate through your site, then he or she will most likely stay and browse through your site longer.
If you want me to look over your blog then please comment below with your site’s address and I’ll reply on what needs to be improved.

I looked at your site it looks nice, and your articles are great readings. But try to get a lighter color theme, because believe it or not, it helps keep readers on your blog longer.
