As Vinay requested, I guess I will guest blog here from time to time. The full handover isn’t quite complete yet, but when it is you’ll notice it.
I know that when you want to talk to an established blogger you want a give a good impression. Good impression may include writing formally with a lot of facts about your self or your blog. However, when you write an email to that blogger, do your best not to bore that person. Get to the point and be brief about it. When I owned this blog I remembered getting a lot of email; most were short and others were unnecessarily long. An established blogger is always on the go and he or she doesn’t have time to read your entire life story, be clear in your words and be brief about it.
When I get those long emails I see the following.
Dear Sunny,
I love your blog, I visit it everyday. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. I was wondering if you can help me with my coding.
Thank you.
I think I speak for a lot of bloggers, when I say DON’T DO IT. I know I’m kind of being sharp minded about this but trust me, if you avoid writing long emails with unnecessary info, then you’ll have a higher chance of getting fast replies. Reading long emails is like watching Indian movies, which are sinfully long; each Indian movie is at least 3 hours in length with random songs.
Blogging is business, and time is money in businesses so, don’t waste anyone’s time, especially yours. It takes at least one hour or more to write a quality article for most bloggers, and they need all the time they can get blogging, along with their other priorities in their lives.
So, tell me, how brief are you in your emails?

I don’t know, I guess it depends what you have to say. Sometimes it’s good to have a decent email to read rather than really short ones.

Sometimes I also do that not to write things..
Maybe to make he/she relax before read the problem or request..

Writing a guest post, your should strive to be as professional as possible. I was dismayed by the “I guess I will guest blog…” line at the very beginning. It can take away from readership and make it seem like this is a little project or hobby versus a professional blog.
