I recently installed Windows Vista on my laptop. Even though I’m not a fan of Windows I decided to try it. I played around with it and I found the OS somewhat of a rip off of the Macintosh OS. The animation is very smooth surprisingly even though it has intense graphics.

A lot of the bubbly graphics looks similar to the Mac. Is Bill Gates loosing his touch or is that Macintosh has beaten Windows when it comes to looks? Rip off or not the Vista OS looks nice as far as graphics.

I got Windows Vista Ultimate and I’m impressed on how it syncs to everything right away when it comes to drivers and plug and play devices, better than the old Windows versions; when it comes to easiness I would give it 7/10.

I promised myself the next new computer I’m going to buy would be a Mac and even after trying Windows Vista I’m still planning to buy a Mac. The reason for my decision is after using Vista for a few days the Windows froze so, I had to restart it; that shows that Windows Vista isn’t that stable like Bill Gates promised. However, don’t let my review get you down, if you are a Windows OS fan or if you are into the good looking graphics and smooth animation then you definitely should get it.

As far as security I suggest you get a third party security software on top of the security that’s already built in Windows Vista. Security is very high on Vista but it’s not obsolete since five hours after Windows Vista was released on the market some hacker cracked it so, get a third-party security software.

NOTE: If you have a software for Windows 2000 or for previous versions of Windows and if worked on Windows XP it may not work on Windows Vista. I tried Macromedia Fireworks 4, which I used on Windows XP for my graphic design projects, and it didn’t function on Windows Vista. The old Fireworks 4 software installed but it didn’t start up so, think carefully before upgrading to Windows Vista.

So, if you can afford it then upgrade to Windows Vista. I would give the OS a general rating of 8/10 for easiness, graphics, and installation, and speed.
