Blogging should be more of a hobby than anything else. Each blog is different and each blog has it’s own style and touch. With DesiNotes.com I have established a style and a touch towards my audience. I’m not the best writer in the world, but no one is.
When you blog you should write as if your expressing your mind. Don’t ever write copying the style of another. As mentioned before blogging should deal with originality and uniqueness. Everyone is unique and it should be parallel with their blog. I’ve seen some copiers of John Chow’s and sometimes I find it ridiculous that they would even consider designing and copying his style.
When you establish your writing touch, don’t worry about writing the next best thing, just express your mind. Every mind is different; therefore, every writing style is different. Being different is what will get you up in the blogsphere, not copying the style of others. No matter what, your blog will get a group of audience if you just show commitment to your blog, as in keep on updating. Every blog has a topic, and every topic has a group of people who are interested in it; that’s why don’t stress out about your writing style, just express your mind.
Now when I say express your mind I don’t mean use extreme informal words like “gonna” or “wats up” but use proper grammar and words that go with the flow of content.
Some readers of this blog do not approve of me selling this blog, may be they just like my writing style, but all I did was express my mind in words. I took what I know and transformed the ideas in words. I’m sure the new owner of this blog will do the same, and hopefully a lot better than me. I made the mistake of not updating this blog for a while, but I’m going to try to keep this blog updated till the new owner gets the hang of it so, you will still be hearing from me for a little bit more.
How do you express your mind in your writing?

I’ve been reading your blog for a while and I’ve really enjoyed it. I learned a lot, although I haven’t been able to update very consistently at all. I am sorry to see you go, though I understand. (Although I think that it’s okay to take a hiatus from blogging for a while, just as long as bloggers alert readers.)
Anyway, all the best and thank you for imparting your knowledge!

Hi Azmi,
I am very sorry to hear you sell this blog. I think it’s a big mistake. Anyway, all the best in all your future endures. May Allah bless you.
BTW have you any other blog? Atleast have a blogspot on where you write occasionally so that we continue to hear you

I want to thank you for this post. I have only had my site for a few months now, but I started noticing that it became more of a chore. I currently have a list of over 70 topics, but I can think it just fine, but writing it was something else. Your post helped me realize how to express my thoughts easier. From one Desi to another, thanks!
