I have been delaying this post for a while now and I finally got my head together to write a post about BestOfIndya.com, sorry about that Ramesh. Best Of Indya is a social news site, created by Ramesh. I visit the site often because it’s mostly revolves around Desi interests: Bush’s Amazing Intelligence, Technology, Hollywood, Bollywood, Indo-Pak political news, and so on.

This site is based on the Pligg platform, just like Blogg-Buzz, and I must say it’s coming along fine. The site posted it’s first post 64 days ago and it has built up a good community of bloggers since then. So, unlike Digg users, Best Of Indya’s community won’t hate on you because you’re a blogger. Ramesh wanted me to test out his WordPress plug-in, which is a button just like Digg’s submit buttons, I tested it out and it worked nicely. After I changed my blog’s template to this theme I didn’t enable the button because, like Digg, if you have a small number of votes for your article then it looks bad for your article.

Best Of Indya looks like a pro-Indian site, but it has a all-round Desi and pure friendly atmosphere. I’m not Indian, I’m from Bangladesh, India’s neighboring country, and yet I was invited to be part of this site.

This site is very good when it comes to its choice of articles compared to Digg. If you go through the posts then you’ll see that it doesn’t have posts related to being horny. I mean I know Indians and other Desis are a huge population, but instead of looking at erotic pics of women, like Digg users, we just get married and have kids .

So when you get a chance visit and submit your best articles to BestOfIndya.com like I do. Trust me, you will get a friendlier response.
