Most full-time bloggers spend hours and hours and usually all day in front of their computers blogging. Others, like me, would love to write numerous blog posts at one time and just wait for it to be published one at a time.
Do you think you can blog without you actually being in front of your computer blogging? With wordpress you can. Wordpress, the blogging software I use for DesiNotes.com, has a special feature for posting blogs on a desired times and dates.
How do I set it?
1. On your Wordpress admin panel, after you are done writing your new post, on your right panel, there should be a panel titled “Post Timestamp”.

2. On the panel set the desired date and time you want your post to be published and make sure you check of the “Edit Timestamp” checkbox on the panel otherwise it won’t work. Example: for Decemeber 9th, 2006, choose December for the month, then type in 09 in the first box, then type 2006 in the second box after the “@” type in 00 in the last two boxes for 12:00 AM. The timestamp is in 24 hour mode so you have to set it in 00:00 for 12:00 AM, the beginning of the day.
3. After you’re done press “Publish”. When the time of your post’s time setting comes, your blog post should automatically be published.
I think this is a good method for bloggers who are traveling or busy in some days when they can’t blog. They can spend an entire day blogging and setting the dates and times for each post to be published in the future on days they can’t blog.
Try it right now if you have Wordpress; to some of you, this may save ALOT of time in your blogging and benefit you greatly. Other blogging software may have the feature to, such as TypePad, but I only use Wordpress so I posted this post based on Wordpress feature.
This post is scheduled to be posted automatically on December 08, 2006 at 12:20 AM. So, if you read this then it worked. I’m going to set up my posts whenever I go traveling.

I use this all the time .. but I if you are too, I would suggest getting the WP-CRON plugin installed and also activate the Wp-Cron Future Pings .. it will ping your blog when the post is made public at the scheduled time.
