My room mate recently bought a Dell 8100 desktop computer from Craigslist.org for $300. Since I needed a desktop he sold it to me for $300. This was an excellent deal and a great investment on my part. The following is what came with the system I bought.

PC Tech Specs
- 60 GB Storage
- 1 GB DDR RAM
- Intel Pentium 4 (2.60 GHz)
- Windows XP Home Edition
- ATI Radeon 9550/X1950 Series Graphics Card
- 8 USB Ports (6 in back, 2 in front)
- CD-RW Burner
- DVD Player

What’s so great about this PC is that the graphics card, that came with it, is worth alot of money by itself. The graphics card is at least well over $100 so, this was a great bargain.

The computer system also came with a 17 inch Dell Flat Panel LCD monitor as you can see on the left. The best part of the purchase is that I didn’t have to pay any fees or shippings what so ever. Since my room mate bought it from someone in Atlanta listing, he just had to pick it from the seller’s home in the local area.

There are other great deals that I found such as another 17 inch LCD monitor for only $125. My room mate got a Creative sound system with two speakers and a sub woofer for $15; the same item is sold in stores for ~ $100. You may not find everything right away but if you keep on searching you’ll find what you’re looking for sooner or later in your local area.

So, instead of wasting time and money on eBay, try searching for what you’re looking for on Craigslist.org.
