In North America, we all know that the merging of Cingular and AT&T Wireless is one of the biggest merges in US business history. Majority of the US residents use AT&T Wireless or Cingular Wireless. In 2006 Bell South, the parent company of Cingular, was acquired by AT&T, the main company who once owned AT&T Wireless. Before merging with Cingular, AT&T Wireless was a sub-company from AT&T, which functioned independently.

Cingular is known to be the largest wireless network in the United States and one of the best. However, it’s proclaimed by the AT&T company that the Cingular brand will be faded away in this upcoming June so, whatever is Cingular will soon be just AT&T.

Cingular to AT&T Brand Replacement

In my opinion I think the replacement of the Cingular brand by the AT&T brand will be great for the company. AT&T is known to be one of America’s respected companies and so, having the AT&T name as the main brand will stand out more with respect.

Also, since the merging with Bell South, AT&T has become the largest telecommunications company in the world. That fact alone shows an incredible amount of authority in the wireless market that the company has, and staying with the AT&T brand will only resonate their businesses in more regions in the US which was occupied by Bell South before. Hopefully, the AT&T company will get its gears straight and merge with Bell South with ease with less time so, consumers don’t have trouble with their services.

An old established company like AT&T, being the leader of America’s wireless services, we can only look for great services in telecommunications from them.
