For those who visit my blog often you may probably be thinking, what the hell is wrong with this guy, for changing blog title several times, lolz. The reason was that the keyword that I targeted “work at home” wasn’t good enough. Most Work at home sites have nothing but static job opportunities and on top of that the most highest position I got on Google search results was in the 101st position on the 100th page. It was over three weeks, I believe, and my rankings on Google search hardly improved; I’m patient, but not that patient when it comes to Google. My room mate suggested I get away from work at home key phrase and target “desi baba” or “desi” in general because I’m a Desi and there is just so much that one could say about work at home. I researched and found that if I concentrate my blog more on fun and entertainment content than I have a better chance to attract massive traffic.

My room mate researched and found that the key phrase “desi baba” has around 16238 hits for March, along with 17295 hits for the “desi” key phrase. I changed my title about four days ago and the following day I hit the first page of the 10th position for “desi baba” on Google search; with less competition I was easily placed on the first page. My traffic is being steady to be around 900/day, which is not bad. I guess the reason I hit the first page was because I have a good number of sites linking back to plus I have a PR3 which is better than the other sites which has a PR0. I recently checked Technorati and I’m happy to say I have reached the 100th mark on 100 blogs linking back to me plus Google Analytics shows that about 58% of my traffic are coming from Google’s organic search.

I will still talk about technology, work at home, and other money making matters with my entertainment content.

What is desi baba?
For those who don’t know what “desi baba” is, it means desi dad literally; however, it has a figure of speech of a name meaning like the rapper “Daddy Yankee”. I’m no rapper but I thought it was a good name for this blog.
