When people blog I know there is a great tendency to blog every single day or blog as much as possible in one day to satisfy the information hunger of the readers. In my opinion I think it shouldn’t be that way. Bloggers need to take the time to blog comfortably, and to do that a blogger should not feel that he or she must not bow down to blog just to satisfy people.

It’s true, bloggers should blog for their readers but he or she must understand the priorities of other things. For example, I have missed to publish a post one day of this month so far. The reason I missed to publish a post was due to my college; I’m in my senior year so I have other things to take care of relating to school.

I don’t blog for money, I blog to help others out by putting what I know, my knowledge, into words. I do take blogging seriously, but I blog when I have time to do it.

Don’t be a Slave to your Blog
As you noticed I do have a good number of readers, and I’m also under pressure to blog once everyday, since that is my blogging frequency. However, with things in my life coming up, it’s hard to blog well often.

I will only write if I can write a good post. I will not publish anything if it isn’t a good post. I know by being a blogger I am a slave to my readers since I write for them, but I don’t allow myself to be a slave of my blog. However, I wouldn’t mind being a slave to a girl =P.

When you blog, do your best not be a slave to your own blog. Your blog is just a tool, not your master. I used to be a slave for a site before, everything I did would be revolving around my site. After a while I realized that this was ridiculous and I got tired of it. Ever since then I just stopped worrying about if my site is up or not, or how many visitors it was receiving in a certain hour, etc. I know it was pathetic, but it was all about money. The more visitors I had the more money I received so, I was always thinking about money. After a while I just I stopped with it; there’s more to life than to extract money.

I made my self to not think about money. That’s why I don’t make a big deal about my earnings anymore. I think by doing so, I would only be boasting my pride and discouraging others. My goal is to help beginning level writers blog. and if I show my earnings a bit too much then they may feel discouraged, and they may feel less motivated. The reason they may feel less motivated is may be due to the amount of time and hard work they need to contribute to reach a certain level to make the amount of money I make. Therefore, in order to help others I don’t really boast on how much I make online.

Are you a slave to your blog?
