US residents, you’ve seen the rising gas prices and it is ridiculous that the government isn’t stepping up strong enough to keep the prices low for the average consumers. On the Facebook social network and elsewhere people are spreading the word of a mass break of NOT buying gas on May 15th to strike for the surging prices by the gas companies.

I got an apartment close to my college from last January and one of the reasons I got it was because of the high gas prices, because it would take me almost 3 hours to go to and come back from college. Half of the trip requires driving through traffic.

The occurrences that’s going on now is ridiculous, we have a war with Iraq and Afghanistan going on, plus the Bush administration is currently planning to go to war with Iran. The increasing gas prices will only lower consumer spendings in the US which will hurt the economy, and if the US economy is hurt then the rest of the world will be affected.

We can challenge it, but it takes a group effort. US residents please DO NOT buy gas on the 15th of this month as a backfire towards the gas companies and their greedy motives. Readers, if you live in North American then please spread the word of taking a break from buying gas on the 15th. The word of mouth is the biggest and the most effective form of marketing and hopefully it’ll work for us.
