One of the reasons I get positive e-mails from my readers is due to my honesty. When I express myself by blogging, I don’t make up anything, I say it like how it is, I tell the truth. People who blog to fame reveal who they are, their history, and what their occupations are. I revealed who I am to my readers, I’m a college student expressing my self and writing down what I learned by blogging, and if people are comfortable talking to a college student for advice then I give them advice. I don’t lie when I blog because it’s not going to get me anywhere.

Darren Rowse, Steve Pavlina, and John Chow are three of the most influential bloggers in the blogsphere, and their fans know exactly who they are and how their personalities are by reading their blog posts.

There is one case of the famous “Rich Jerk”. The “Rick Jerk” is really Kelly Felix and he is bankrupt. Yeah you read it right, the Rich Jerk is out of money. I guess he can’t call us loosers anymore since he can’t promote his so-called “badass” ways. I often get the Rich Jerk e-mails and he would always write “hey loser” or “hey nobody”, but in the recent months I saw something different from his emails. I thought something was wrong when I saw other well-known internet gurus promoting his products, which I never saw before. Usually authentic, well-known, internet gurus promote their own products and services directly 90% of the time, and it surprised me when they started to promote the Rich Jerk products.

So he lied to be the well known Rich Jerk. I knew that something wasn’t right about his programs and that’s why I never promoted his products, even though if I did I would get paid for it. However, to tell you the truth some of his methods do work. I grabbed a copy of his e-book and I was impressed by it, but I only tried few of his methods that didn’t required me spending anything, because a lot of his methods requires a handful of cash to invest.

So, take my advice be honest to your visitors. Don’t make up anything and don’t lie to them of who you are or how rich you are. The more honest you are with your visitors, the better the relationship you’ll have with them, which will give you credibility.
