Non-reciprocal links are very important for any web site and it’s a major factor in getting a high search engine ranking. Usually e-mailing other webmasters for “link exchanging” or “reciprocal linking” request is ignored and most likely other webmasters will delete your e-mail. Asking big traffic sites to link back is hard so, how do you get reciprocal links? It’s not as hard as many think, I read and read many tips and tricks of other expert webmasters plus I learned through my experience.
Search engines favor sites that have non-reciprocal links. Search engines label those sites as important sites, because to search engines, they think if a site, for example Site A, has other site’s linking to it without having Site A linking back then Site A seems to have a certain degree of importance.
There are several ways you can get other sites to link to your sites without asking them; submitting articles to article directories, commenting on blog post, and placing a link in the signatures in forums, but for this post, I will discuss only about placing your site’s link on forums and talk about other linking methods on future posts.
Internet forums are important areas where people come and discuss on issues they think are important or interesting; internet users usually come back to forums if someone replied to their posts. If you join 5-10 forums with high traffic and get involved in the discussions then people will visit your site from the forums just to get a glimpse of your site. If your site is interesting to the visitors then those visitors will stay on your site which leads to them being active visitors on your site.
So how do you get non-reciprocal links?
On each forum it allows users to have a signature section. A signature is any texts or links that appear below a user’s posts automatically after each submission. A user can edit his/her signature by going to the profile page in each forum. All you have to do is just place www.YourSiteName.com in the signature and that’s it, it’s simple as that. Make sure the first letter in each word is capitalized to catch the visitors’ eyes. If you make your domain name link look like a sentence then you will increase your chances of getting a visitor to your site, because it will catch their attention. For example, I did a non-reciprocal link for DesiNotes.com on a heavy traffic forum on Webmaster-Talk.com and if you type “link: desinotes.com” on any search engines, especially Google, then it’ll show Webmaster-Talk.com as one of the sites linking back to my site.
It’s simple as that, so try it and wait till your site is indexed by search engines and you will see. You will notice a great increase in your site’s visibility and in traffic as you try this method on more and more forums.

Great tips! Don’t some blogs not allow backlinks? I think blogger has it set up as a default to have nofollow tags in the comment section.

Google has devalued Forum Links considerably since Big Daddy, they’re not quite as effective as they used to be….
