Microsoft announced that PC manufacturers have until January 2008 to sell Windows XP. After that they are to install Windows Vista on their latest models. Looks like Microsoft isn’t paying attention at all to what it’s Vista consumers saying of lack of drivers of hardware for Vista and the requirement to beef up hardware power.
I tried Vista Ultimate and it’s not the best system in the world. Right now as I’m typing this blog post I’m using Windows XP SP2 because it has less trouble than Vista. I would stick with Windows XP than Windows Vista any day due to XP’s speed and less graphics power requirements.
So, if you don’t already have an OEM version of Windows XP, weather it’s Home or Professional (recommended), then get a copy before Microsoft orders stores to get it off their shelves. Trust me, it’ll help you save a load of trouble if you get one now.
