As you know, a niche is a place in the market where you have the monopoly. A site with a specific content has a niche based on a certain field that the site specializes in. A place in the market where people will go for a certain product. For example, the blog StevePavlina.com’s niche is in Personal Development, and Engadget.com’s nich is in gizmoz and gadgets. Another example is Microsoft; they had a niche in the computer OS industry in the earlier years.

I still haven’t found my niche yet. DesiNotes is new and the domain name is young. I plan on getting into a niche of philosophy; if not a primary niche then a secondary, I was studying some philisophocal work of Confucianism and other ancient Chinese philosophers. I’m going to add a category of “Philosophy” on my first philosophy post.

I plan on getting into more than one niche since DesiNotes is very broad in topics. My main goal is advice and then go into philosophy. So, let’s see how it goes.
