The title of this post says it well. I know for a fact that search engines index sites that update often over other sites that do not update often, but I didn’t know that they were very fast about it. In the past month and in some days of this month I have been striving to update desinotes.com everyday. I have been trying to post one blog post each day, because I read that updating often has great benefits with search engines in the long run. Expert webmasters, who have heavy traffic sites, say search engine traffic, especially Google search engine traffic, gives them the largest percentage of traffic to their sites. Search engines seek out new content all the time and Google, who loves blogs, seems to favor indexing my site often.

Google Bot

Yesterday, well, this morning, at 12:20 AM, I automated a new post with the Wordpress timestamp feature and I decided to check the users that were currently on DesiNotes.com. I wanted to see how many users were actual people and how many were search engine bots. To my surprise, Google Bot, was indexing my new post as soon as it was published (screenshot on the left). I had to blacken out the IP addresses for security reasons; I was logged in as the admin so that’s why it was displaying them. I was blown away to see the Google Bot indexing my site ASAP after I published a new post.

So, if you have a blog or any other type of sites then you should update it often; update it everyday if you can. Updating your site everyday will get your site to be favored by Google search engine.
