This type of blog is exactly what I’m looking for when it comes to interesting stuff to read, unfortunately Google doesn’t think that. When it comes to traffic, this blog is way up there with an Alexa rank of 18,911.
A site that in the top 20,000 sites in the world based on traffic has no page rank, what does it mean for other sites? This is not the first site I’ve seen this happen to, about a month ago I saw John Chow’s site had no Page Rank either. This is what I mean when I say Google choosing favorites for Page Ranks. So, when you’re surfing keep your eye out when you see something like this.

Actually, Google isn’t choosing favorites. It’s takes quite a bit of time for Google to update it’s index. Google updates its PageRank about two or three times in a year. His blog is only 3 months old, so regardless of how much traffic he gets, it’s going to take some time. Once Google updates its index, you will probably see his rank jump straight to 5 or 6.
Try and get your information right.

Actually, JohnChow have had a PR for quite sometime. It was updated to a higher ranking just a month ago. Let’s assume John got his PR last month, you do know that Google is placing all new sites in a “sandbox” until they build up their credibility, don’t you? Do you really think Google is picking sites by hand and ignoring those? It’s all run on algorithms that can’t exclude certain sites.
