I wrote about Google’s Google Phone some time back, there is more information to share now and this is in continuation of that.
It is now well known that Google has been working on a secret project for the past several months with regard to a Google Phone or GPhone. This phone will not be a direct competitor to Apples iPhone, what Google will offer will be an operating system software for mobile phones that will be based on open-source Linux software. It is true that Google has built a prototype of a phone as well to demonstrate its operating system and mobile application software like its browser but it is unlikely to manufacture the phones itself on a commercial basis. Google will create software much like the Windows Mobile from Microsoft and other operating systems, which are built into phones sold by various manufacturers. Google will then extend its dominance of online advertising to the mobile sphere. It will get mobile carriers and phone manufacturers to use its software. The cost of those phones will be subsidized partly by advertising that appears on their mobile screens. Google’s strategy is to create an open source competitor to Windows Mobile. It will loosen the control of carriers over the software and services available on their networks. And for Google, advertising and phones go hand in hand. Mobile advertising is in its infancy but is likely to explode with Google’s foray into the Mobile world. Expect Google to offer their services in a few months from now.

I’m very curious about this phone. I’m sure a lot of people would choose such a system if it meant a lower bill.

I posted about this earlier on my own web site. Your article has actually given me some food for thought, I feel you might have made many very intriguing points. I wish I might discovered it earlier, previous to writing my own post.

The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I truly thought youd have one thing attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you can fix if you happen to werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
