As you blog more and more you will most likely improve in your writing and in your understanding of what your readers want. I have looked over my previous posts and I compared that to how my recent posts are, and I can see a major improvement. I didn’t really take blogging seriously until I focused on the topic of “blogging”. And by focusing on my topic I have more readers and more activity on my blog which shows a great improvement.

It’s good to look back in your previous writings because it’ll be a big motivation of how much you’ve improved over time as your blogging experience increased. To blog well you have to have strong motivation to keep up with writing quality content. And looking back at your previous writings works well hand-in-hand with seeing how much you’ve improved.

The following are questions I composed when reviewing to see how much my blog has improved.

Questions to Ask

  • Is my writing clear?
  • Do I have my readers’ attention?
  • Am I getting good feedback from my readers?
  • Did I choose a good template?
  • Do I have credibility?
  • Am I writing quality content?
  • Is my writing being projected well?

    My blog is worth $142,828.62.
    How much is your blog worth?

    I looked back at one of my previous posts regarding the estimation of how much your blog is worth. This creative and fun applet, created with Technorati’s API, was created by Business Oppurtunities Weblog. I know Technorati is not the best in estimating the value of a blog; however, even by looking at the new results of this fun applet, it really pumps me up to blog more.

    I remember when JohnChow.com used to be worth as much as this blog but now, as you would’ve guessed, John’s site is worth a lot more, it’s worth over $2,000,000.

    I remember DesiNotes.com used to be worth around $2200 and now it’s worth $142,828.62 (as of 07/09/07). I’m not selling DesiNotes.com at the moment and probably not in a long time, but I would definitely sell this blog for $142,828.62 without hesitation ;-]…hint, hint.

    By looking at these figures, it shows that DesiNotes.com has improved tremendously.
