I checked with Google Analytics and ever since I have concentrated the key phrase of “work at home” on my blog posts my Google organic traffic increased. Also, according to Google Analytics my work at home key phrase forced my organic traffic to jump over 500% so this blog is on it’s way up there. It doesn’t stop there, ever since I identified and concentrated my niche my target traffic has increased. Before I had more new visitors than returning visitors, which is not good, it’s better to have more returning visitors than new visitors. Before my returning visitors traffic estimated to be less than 20% and my new visitors estimated to be the rest of the traffic. However, ever since I found my niche, as of today, my returning visitors is roughly 30% and my new visitors is the rest so, I’m getting more loyal readers.
To find your niche for search engines in simple steps.
1) Go over a general number of 10-20 posts on your blog.
2) Identify the theme of your posts and figure out what keyword or key phrase relates to your theme.
3) Go to Overture’s Inventory and check to see if the keyword or key phrase you chose gets a significant number of hits. If it doesn’t then think of other keywords or key phrases and check them to see if they get a lot of hits.
4) Once you found your keyword or key phrase use it in your content flow. Repeat your keyword or key phrase over and over again in your content flow and give it time for Google bot to pick it up.
And that’s all you have to do. My site for “work at home” key phrase keeps on fluctuating back and forth in Google search results, from 10th page to the 16th page, and yet I am still getting organic traffic because “work at home” key phrase has over 190,000 hits. Therefore, I have identified my niche and concentrated on one key phrase to boost my organic traffic.
