A good publisher knows what his/her visitors want and what they will see upon entering his/her website.Showing Google ads in the right place is one of the most important things to consider when trying to make as much money as you can.

Google ads does the work for you when it comes to relavent ads relating to your content so, you should use the ads to your advantage.

The following parts of this article will show you the best way positions to put up Google ads to get the highest number of clicks based on the potential of your website.

First of all you should know that Google’s AdSense ads can be camouflaged with your pages so the ads look as if it’s part of your content. You should always make it look as if the ads are part of your site. When doing this you should make the ads’s border and backround colors the same as the colors of your site so, there will be little to no distinction between your content and the ads. When embedding the ads to look the same as your content you have a better chance of your visitors clicking on them.

Lets look at the first format. Google’s 468×60 ads are not quite as effective as it should be. 468×60 size is a standard banner size on the web and therefore your visitors may develop something called “ad blindness” because it stands out and internet users tend to ignore it because they see banners with this size all the time. Another factor you should consider is that the ad is seperated from the content. Visitors will quickly learn that the Google ad is an ad and they will just scroll down to your “high quality” content.

The reason I put high quality is that Google only favors sites that contain content that internet users want and value. There are publishers who creates web sites just for displaying Google ads, which lowers the value of the quality of content on Google’s AdSense network. Google is cracking down on sites that do that so DO NOT make a site just to make money. You have to have an interest about what you write about or whatever your web site is about because then you will improve it over and over again and this will increase the value of your site.

Let’s look at the second example, the Google Ads is on the right column. From time to time you will see these skyscraper format ads in different web sites. Through experience I know they are not that effective because they are on the side and 50% of the time visitors will not even notice it because they are interested in the main content.

On this format you can see that there is a Google Ad is on the right column and another ad on the bottom of the main content. What do you say to that? WRONG. Again, the ads are separated from the main content and the bottom ad will not even be noticed by your visitors becuase once they are done viewing your main content they will leave. To get the highest number of clicks you should embed the Ads where your visitors will notice it which leads us our last example.

In this example you can see that the Google Ads is within the main part of the site’s high quality content. Again I emphasize on “high quality” because the Google ads script will automatically find relavent ads relating to your content which will get your visitors’ interests and they will click on them. As you can see the 336×280 ad size is big so, you should do your best to make the ad look very similar o your content. A wide range of AdSense publishers agreed that 336×280 ad size is the most effective ad format. The reason is because the ads have more space in between each other and gives the reader a better view of what the ad is about.

I recommend you try the 336×280 format for a week and watch as you get positive results.
