I recently have been reading an old ProBlogger article on knowing who is your audience so you can write content that’s appealing to them. And that’s the truth, if you target a keyword for a certain market and it doesn’t appeal to the majority of your audience then you’re doing it all wrong.

I looked at my blog’s statistics of which keywords on Google are leading visitors to my site, and I get the following as of May 27, 2007.

“desibaba” - 317 visits
“aishwarya rai wedding” - 226
“desi baba” - 115
“desi” - 80

I looked at the statistics on Google Analytics and whenever I write content that deviate from what the Desi community likes I get a low number of visitors. My blog is “random rambling of desi baba” so I write content in random fields. Writing just about technology or blogging or saving money doesn’t appeal me that’s why I write random materials, because there is so much that I can talk about in a certain period of time.

So, knowing that the majority of my visitors love content that relates to the Desi community, I will do my best to write content that’s appealing to the Desis.

If you’re not a Desi and you’re a regular user of my blog then don’t worry, you will still enjoy the content. The Desi community loves content related to Hollywood, Bollywood, comedy, technology, cars, money, jobs, fashion, traveling, business, love and relationships, and anything else that’s not far from what I already talk about. So stick around and let’s see what Desi Baba talks about next.
