Yes, it’s possible to download, convert, and load YouTube videos to your iPod; I’m sure some of you already know that. The best part of all this is the software, that is required to do this, is legally FREE. The software doesn’t require any license or anything of that sort, it’s freeware.

How to load YouTube videos to iPod?
Before you read any further remember there are two parts to this: first download the YouTube video, then convert it to iPod format to load it with iTunes.

Download YouTube video.
1. Get the URL of the YouTube video that is given to you. The URL is given on the right side of the video on YouTube.com.
2. Copy the URL and paste it in the URL box here and press enter. The download link should come up if you entered the correct YouTube video URL.
3. Download the file; the file you download will be in .flv format for Flash video. You cannot view the Flash video without proper video codec. If you want to view the video on your computer then you can use VLC player to see it.

Convert the YouTube video to iPod format
1. There are several converters for converting videos to iPod but most of them either can’t be found or they require a license fee. Fortunately, I found iPod Converter 0.91 by Videora to be the perfect solution. I can’t find the link to download the file on their site so I uploaded it to DesNotes.com server. So, download iPod Converter 0.91 from this site.
2. Download the software and install it. After installation, run the software.
3. On the main screen (shown below) click on “One-Click Transcode” and a dialougue blox should come up, make sure you choose All Types as the file types, and search for the YouTube .flv file that you just downloaded.

4. After locating the flv file press “Open” or “OK” and the conversion should begin.
5. The conversion from YouTube to iPod takes 10 min for a 5 minutes video or it may take longer depending on the length and time of the video. The new converted file should have the .mp4 extension on it.
6. Start your iTunes software and load it up to your iPod.

You can also do this with DVDs, but you have to do something extra to get it to play right proportionally; however, since it’s illegal I’m not going to discuss it. Well, now you know how to load YouTube videos to iPod easily, also this is the same process for DivX videos. so, enjoy.
