Steve Pavlina suggested that bloggers should make their blogs more than just a blog. I put it to the test and not to my surprise I got a better response from my visitors than to have just a blog. On the category section you can see on this site is “podPress”, which is a section of the site that offers audio clips of certain contents.

If you give your visitors more things to explore on your site then it’ll boost the quality of your site. With more different things on your site, it allows your visitors to stay longer on your site leading to better ranking for your site. Ranking is involved in this because search engines measure how long your visitors stay on your site.

Some ideas for other things on your site are games, podcasting, jukebox, tv, videos, etc. Be competitive to give your readers more than what they ask for. The more positive things you put in your blog the better positive reposnse you will get out of your readers and other visitors from your site.
