With the success of MySpace you probably could guess that there are sites that mimic it. There are companies like AlstraSoft that offers MySpace scripts for a certain expensive price. Buyers of MySpace clones know the grand potential of these sites so they buy it regardless of the price sometimes. MySpace has not reached all the niche markets and I believe these clones are perfect to get into those markets.

Here are a few that I found:
ApnaSpace: A MySpace clone for South Asians in general (Indians, Bangladeshis, Pakistanis). It’s really nice but sometimes it could get sinfully slow and that could get annoying. Either way the site has a lot of traffic and it’s fun to join.

AmarSpace: The MySpace for Bengalis (people from Bangladesh and West Bengal of India), and even though it’s design is novice, the site is growing nicely well.

If you think you have found an untouched niche market then I suggest you try setting yourself a MySpace like site and see if it would work for you. I’m tempted to try one but I’m not willing to spend over $100 for a web script.
