You have seen the giant dinosaur in Jurassic Park, now you can interact with a miniature version. Pleo, a sophisticated robot dinosaur from Ugobe, can be your own prehistoric pet lizard for $300. Pleo has lots of power on the inside. It runs a special operating system Life OS, that allows it to learn, act on its own and interact with people. Pleo runs on a battery that gives it about an hour of play time between charges. Pleo is capable of learning over time and of expressing different moods and basic animal drives such as hunger, fatigue, fear, and love. It adapts to the environment and over time its personality changes in response to how you treat it. Pleo will limp it it gets hurt and remember you when you don’t treat him well. It can smile, get serious and can do clever things!

It is the size of a puffy cat and has a built in camera, 14 quiet motors, sensors for touch and sound and comes equipped with a flash card slot and USB port.

Ugobe will put it on market very soon. Pleo is created by Caleb Chung, the creator of the famous Furby in 1998.
