Here is a strong fact, if you give a person the option of 10 doors to go through then there is a great possibility that he or she will go through it. The same concept applys to the links on your site. If you have numerous out-bound links to other sites that chances of your visitors staying on your site is very slim. As a webmaster you want your visitors to stay on your site as long as possible. The more they surf the more money you can make from AdSense or other forms of ads.

If your page has nothing but out-bound links then you don’t really have much of a page. If your site doesn’t have much content then you’re not only depriving yourself of making money but you are also lowering the quality of your site.

The longer your visitor stays on your site the better the chance you’ll have of getting more clicks from them or impressions for generating income for you.

So, do you best to only have links that lead to pages on your site and not to other sites.
