Renting movies online is very easy and the best part of it is you can choose the movies you want in the comfort of your home.

Netflix seems to hurt Blockbuster in the past year. Blockbuster lost alot of revenue from Netflix’s online service; currently Netflix has around six million customers. As you know, to even the score, Blockbuster also released their online rental service. Both offers DVD rentals at the same price; both offers free shipping to and from the customer’s home.

So, which online service should you choose?
In the long run I recommend Blockbuster, because Blockbuster gives you more for your money and they improved their customer service in my experience. I don’t exactly know when, but a while back Netflix got in trouble for purposely delaying to ship movies to their customers to gain more revenue.

I signed up with both of them and time to time the movies I ordered were lost in the mail or few other problems arose, these problems occured from both companies but it wasn’t a big deal.

Both Netflix and Blockbuster offer the same things; however, Blockbuster gives more to their customers. Blockbuster gives online coupons for free rentals so you can go to your nearest Blockbuster store and rent free movies; the number of coupons you receive depends on the plan you choose. Now, Blockbuster is giving their online rental customers the option of returning their movies to the nearest Blockbuster stores so old movies will be checked in new movies will be shipped out faster. Blockbuster just started this so it may take a while for the program reach the nearest Blockbuster to your home.

I’m currently with Blockbuster because of the online coupons I get every week; I get double the number of movies each time. I get one set of the movies from the mail and another set of movies from the store for FREE.

Therefore, choose Blockbuster over Netflix because you get more for what you pay for.
