This is actually the second part to my Rising Bhangra Trend in America post. This week I have finals to study for and also I’ll be getting to go out-of-state trip so, my posts won’t be that detailed or that long.

Bhangra has gotten so popular outside of India that young artists all over the world are playing the bhangra music in their compositions.

I was online on myspace.com and I stumbled on to this music artist’s profile and I was impressed by his music so, I added him to my MSN and he told me that he’s a professional DJ. He showed me his music website, I checked out his website and listened to his other tracks. I was blown away to hear such good tracks so, I got hooked on to his music.

His music group, called the Bilz from Canada, released their hit song “2 Step Bhangra” (play it below) and the beats are incredible; the song is composed in Punjabi and English languages. The group is made up of two composers, DJ Master-D, the guy I talked to, and DJ Vicious (their picture on the left); both are from South Asia living in Canada.
