Dr. Paul has argued before that getting government involved will only help the corporations and special interests control the net since they will lobby like crazy in DC. It happens with every single governmental regulation. And, again, since he's a federalist, couldn't the states decided to either adopt it or not? The internet has become what it is today because of the government's limited involvement. If bureaucratic net neutrality regulations become a reality, we're going to stifle innovation. It will take longer for new technologies to come to fruition. I work closely with the Hands Off the Internet Coalition and we oppose net neutrality in favor of a bigger, stronger, robust internet future that is filled with more competition and greater access.
