I don't understand all the aspects of net neutrality, so correct me if I'm wrong: isn't it just government control of the internet? Dr. Paul has argued before that getting government involved will only help the corporations and special interests control the net since they will lobby like crazy in DC. It happens with every single governmental regulation. And, again, since he's a federalist, couldn't the states decided to either adopt it or not?

I think government interference with the Internet is a bad idea. Doesn't it have enough on its plate already? How about Iraq? The government should try to work on the messes it has created - before creating new ones.

Well - It's not the corporations, its the government Ron Paul fears. The internet has become what it is today because of the government's limited involvement. If bureaucratic net neutrality regulations become a reality, we're going to stifle innovation. It will take longer for new technologies to come to fruition. I work closely with the Hands Off the Internet Coalition and we oppose net neutrality in favor of a bigger, stronger, robust internet future that is filled with more competition and greater access.

I think the neutrality of the web is important but there must be some point that a government can step in to 1. protect privacy 2. protect victims of crime 3. protect copyright infringement 4. protect national security.
I don't think anyone knows where that line should be!
