Sony’s new PlayStation Portable is 19 percent lighter (reduced to 189 grams from 280 grams) . Sony has doubled the built-in memory to 64 megabytes, which results in faster-loading games, displayed on its bright 4.3 inch screen. Like the original the new PSP is a mini media entertainment device, able to store and play music, pictures and video. Internet access opens it up to multiplayer gaming, and recorded or live TV at any wi-fi hotspot if you also happen to have TiVo or Sony LocationFree devices. Despite being slimmer than the original, the new PSP has the same robust battery power, that lasts for about five hours on a full charge.

The PSP Slim sells for $170.
