I’m no expert when comes to criticizing blogs to be good or bad; however, I looked through the blogsphere and I see the value of some blogs to be very low. You must wonder why, well ever since John Chow started targeting “make money online” as announced on his blog, a lot of other blogs started targeting the same way. John Chow is a great blogger, no doubt, however, people should stop copying what he already did.

When John Chow titled his blog with “Make Money Online with John Chow dot Com” I see more and more blogs with the same title make money online with ….so and so. There are more different keywords to target and “make money online” is now taken by John Chow. And if bloggers target “make money online” then they actually have to compete with John’s site on Google search.

Competing with John’s site is not a big deal but what irritates me is that other bloggers copies John’s blog as in what type of content he posts, the plug-ins he installs, and even the same blog template he installed.

I learned a lot from John’s site and I’m targeting “desi baba” as my primary keyword with what John taught me. Unlike other bloggers who copy, I don’t copy other blogs, I do my best to be different.

No, I didn’t copy his idea exactly. I took his link batch idea and I added my own style to it. John offers a plain link back to blogs that review his site. Unlike John’s link back idea, I actually emphasize on the high points of the review when I link back to the blog that reviewed my site.

Just be Different
One of the keys to be a star blogger is being different. Don’t compare your blog to other blogs, but be creative and be different. For example, if John Chow blogs about making money online then why should I go to other blogs if it’s the same as John’s. John already established a credibility so I will trust his words more and his recommendations more than other people’s.

Nowadays every other blog that I visit talks about making money by blogging and it’s tiring to see that, that’s why I stopped talking about making money online so much, because I want to be different. I love making money online, but I have other interests that can put me on the spot light in the blogsphere. If I talk about the same things as what majority of other bloggers talks about, then my blog is no different than theirs, which will get me less readers.

For example, if few people blogged about sex and porno then that’s still different from the main stream bloggers. I’m not saying you should blog about porno or sex, I just mentioned it because it’s different. As a matter of fact I highly go against blogging about sex and porno because you’re going to have a lot of perverts on your site talking about blow jobs, breasts, and other adult content. Adult content will not get you anywhere in the blogsphere so, don’t create content about it.

So, when you blog, do your best to blog on something different and not the same thing as main stream bloggers.
