This blog is getting more and more active every day and therefore, I decided to give more information about me to my readers. I learned the more you know about the writer the better.

Writing few posts about yourself is alright; however, if you constantly post about yourself then it will discourage readers from coming back to your blog. People want relevant information, which they can use, not read about a person who they never met before, except celebrities.

First things first, what the hell does “Desi” mean?
Desi describes anyone who is from the Indian subcontinent. The “Desi” word doesn’t stop with just Indian nationalists, it expands to define the people of neighboring countries who were once part of India before the British Empire divided the lands. Currently there are 3 main Desi countries and 4 minor Desi countries. India (duh), Bangladesh, and Pakistan are the main ones; and the minor countries are Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives.

Since I’m from Bangladesh, I am a Desi and that’s why I got the domain DesiNotes.com and used “Desi Baba” as the writer’s name of this blog.

What’s your real name?
Azmi M., I prefer not to write out my last name, but it starts with an “M”. My nickname is “Sunny” and that’s what my friends and family call me.

What is your favorite TV show?
It’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I don’t really watch all the episodes, but when I get a chance to watch TV I like watching it.

Did you ever drink or smoke?
I smoked hookah with friends and may be cigarettes here and there with friends, but I never drank any alcoholic drinks, even under peer pressure.

How long have been using the internet?
I have been using the internet for over around 8 years. Therefore, I have a good experience in CGI/Perl coding, PHP coding, Adobe Flash and Fireworks, and especially in HTML coding.

What do you want to achieve with DesiNotes.com?
I want to achieve the same things as any other blog writer, I want my writings to be recognized in the blogsphere. I want my writing brand to be recognized as a credible source.

How do you see yourself as a blogger?
A young writer who wants to be recognized in the blogsphere. Forget the money and forget any orders of my products and services, I want my name and my writing to be in the mainstream blogsphere.

What are your expectations for the future with DesiNotes.com?
I plan on keeping on the pace that I’m going right now and slowly getting the attention of more and more readers. And hopefully one day I will catch the attention of a lot of other bloggers.

Do you work out?
I do at times, I do my best to stay slim. However, I eat like crazy. My working out is halted when I have school work to do. I push myself to the limit whenever I work out, at times I have done 200 crunches at once for several days, and trust me it burns like hell.
