For those of you who loved the cartoon show, Transformers, when you were kids, you will get to expereince it again on the movie screen. Transformers, the real life movie, will be released in the summer of 2007.
I saw a teaser trailer on Quicktime.com and that got me interested somewhat but they didn’t show much. Currently they released a new trailer and I was blown away with how they created the robots. As a movie lover and a great fan of the cartoon show I’m very eager to see this film. In my opinion movies released in 2005 wasn’t, but now Hollywood is making up for it in 2007.
From WikiPedia:
Plot
Following a battle on Cybertron, it will move to the Arctic Circle during the 1800s where Captain Archibald Witwicky is shown chipping away at a massive sheet of ice, only to break through it and fall into the abyss and lands on a robotic hand partially buried in the ice. He finds the eyes of Megatron staring back at him. Megatron burns a map showing the location of the mysterious Allspark into Witwicky’s eyeglasses, which are handed down to his descendant, Sam (Shia LaBeouf), in the present day. When Witwicky buys his first car from dealer Bobby Bolivia (Bernie Mac), it transpires that it is the Autobot, Bumblebee, and Witwicky comes under the protection of the Autobots as the Decepticons come looking for the map.
The following is a new trailer that’s released recently.

Arg! That was more of a teaser than a trailer. The clip barely showed a transformer in it. That’s probably a good thing though; I always go overboard watching trailers of movies that I’m looking forward to seeing (Matrix/Star Wars) and end up getting disappointed. I’ll be curious to see how a live action movie stack up against a cartoon. Has something like this ever been done before (once a cartoon.. now a live action movie)?

You’re right but by looking at what they show on the preview, the CGI animation looks great.

I don’t think its going to be successful in the box office..When ever i see Steven Speilberg make a movie, the trailer seems to be much much better than the movie like “The war of the worlds”..
