Digg is one of the few sites on the web that fascinates me. It’s not the site itself, but the users which fascinates me. It’s also one of the initial social news site that launched before Pligg came along. If you are a regular reader on Digg, then you can basically figure out what interests these people.

1. Digg users own Digg and not the other way around. We saw the power of Digg users when Digg’s owner, Kevin Rose, took down the AACS HD-DVD encryption key. Within a small time the posts that had that key covered the site’s front page. I’m sure Digg users said to themselves, “we are bad asses now”, I know I would.

2. Digg users like pictures, I don’t know why, but they are so fascinated by weird pictures. I noticed they love pictures of clouds forming weird shapes. I’ve seen several posts with cloud formations get over a 1000 diggs.

3. They love Apple! No, not the fruit, but the computer company. Anything and everything related to Apple computers will be favored by Digg users. So, you could say Digg markets for Apple indirectly.

4. My favorite one: Digg users are horny. I know I would be if I sat around the computer all day and thinking of my dream girl. A lot of posts that have pics of women showing their erotic side gets over 500 diggs, go figure. I don’t know what’s hard about going out and meeting people.

5. They love technology, of course they would, since they sit around on their computers all day. They love the rivalry between Microsoft and Apple, and they say “hooray” for Apple. They love reading about little gadgets that has no purpose of decent productivity.

6. They love to read about finances, well only if it deals with technology and wired Japanese inventions. One of the Japanese inventions that appalled me was the sex chair, where the the chair automatically rocks back and forth so the guy doesn’t have to do any work, go figure. And guess what, it was dugg a bunch of times.

7. They love video games: XBOX 360, PlayStation 3, and especially Nintendo’s Wii. They also love to read about modifying their Wii consoles and the injuries it causes while playing.

8. And the last thing, they love to read articles written about Digg.com and themselves, weather it’s positive or negative.

These may not be all of the facts about Digg users, but I’m sure you got the picture.

So, if you are a digg user and if you like this article, then please digg it….digg it now!
