I suggest you blog on topics you love to talk about and also topics that you have experince in. You said you are the father of two, you can blog about parenting, which I think is a great idea. Yes, I am very successful in AdSense but it took me a while to develop my success. All these interent gurus offered their methods to make money by paying them $50 or more, I was very skeptical so I didn't buy thier "over night" success trash. I developed my own way of making money and I write them down on this blog. Initially I didn't have that many categories to start out with but since I love talking about various topics in different subjects I added new categories. If you want to offer the web valuable info that you think is important and you want to make money then you can do it. All you need to give is pateince and commitment. I love talking about online business but I don't plan to keep track of which categories pay more because then blogging won't be fun for me anymore. I don't want to worry about which categories make more money while creating content because I know that money will come pouring in as my site gets older and as I update it more and more. I guess what's held me back so far is the very thing you mentioned above: "if you have valuable information you can offer the web". I know I can write articulately; and, I guess a 37 year old father of two HAS TO have had (and am still having) enough experiences to be able to offer value to plenty of people out there. From your "Categories" section, it looks like you spread it around pretty well, and from what I've read in previous posts about your Adsense revenue, you seem to be successful. I'm sure you find that some categories get FAR higher click-thru rates than others, though. Did you set out to have this blog cover multiple categories, or did it just evolve that way?
