Graphic designers, bloggers, and other computer saavy people need more and more viewing space for their workspace. I tried to work with two monitors and to my surprise I was able to do alot of my work faster and easier. You may wonder what’s the point, but the truth is if you work at home, then multiple monitors can help you work faster.
Instead of going back and forth to the task bar, you can just move the mouse further to go to the other screen to continue working with other applications.
Most old and all new computers with Windows have the ability to extend the desktop to multiple monitors. I never tried extending the desktop with Macintosh so I don’t know if Macs can do this.
Look at the pic above, I got this from ShoeMoney.com. The pic is Jeremy Schoemaker’s work center. Look how he has three monitors hooked up for effecient, mutiple workspace.

It has nothing to do with operating systems. You need to invent in a dual-head GPU and add another single head GPU for three monitors. OR you need three single head GPUs.
